While late manga creator Akira Toriyama is best-known for Dragon Ball, the famed illustrator also produced several other terrific series throughout his lifetime. "Sand Land is bittersweet in many ways, but it's a testament to Toriyama's talents as both an artist and storyteller that, despite its numerous flaws, it's still worth playing," Richard Wakeling wrote in GameSpot's Sand Land review.
