近几天，《边缘行者》制作人本间悟与导演今石洋之接受了Famitsu采访，透露了一些剧本以及续作方面的消息。
今石洋之表示，CDPR给了他们一个早期的剧本，如果作为游戏来玩的话，看起来很有趣，但是做成动画不一定有吸引力，在与CDPR协商后，他们更改了剧本。剧情的前半部分主要是按照CDPR的想法来推进，在后半部分中，扳机社的作出的更改更多，例如最后重锤的登场。
在谈到游戏主角时，本间悟表示游戏主角的背景设定是CDPR的想法，他们对剧情的要求之一是“如果与夜之城为敌，那你将输的一败涂地”，从一开始就奠定了主角会输的基调，而且CDPR的原定结局比现在的更惨。
对于后续续作的问题，本间悟表示，该动画是个独立剧集，并没有在制作续作，但是他个人是很想继续和日本工作室合作的。
